To celebrate Halloween, Oxford Academy’s ASB Senate hosted their annual Halloween Costume Contest. Students and faculty were encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes, and Oxford did not disappoint. Walking down the halls, one could see giant inflatable chickens, pikachus, and the iconic duo from Bikini Bottom. In the instrumental rooms, a banana and witch were spotted playing the viola and violin. During lunch, students were able to view the creative and horrifying costumes donned by their peers and teachers. Favorites included a flawless replica of Guy Fieri and the office staff dressed as characters from the nostalgic musical Grease.

About the Contributor
Audrey Lee, Staff Writer
Audrey Lee is a sophomore serving her second year at Gamut as a staff writer. Though not knowledgeable on current trends, she’d happily tell you about the books she’s read instead, with Atlas Shrugged being a good book to get to know her. She loves being transported to other worlds when reading, and then fleshing out the characters in those worlds through her own writing to make it her own. She joined Gamut feeling that writing articles for the newspaper matched her personality and interests. Though her favorite section to read is A&E, her favorite to write is OPed, feeling that it allows her more freedom in expressing her opinions in comparison to other, more structured sections like News. She loves visiting Korea to meet her family and her favorite food would be the average simple Korean meal, consisting of meat, barbeque rice, and kimchi.
