About the Contributors

Jasmine Nguyen, Podcast Producer
Jasmine Nguyen is in her third and last year as a Gamut staff writer. Since joining in her sophomore year, she has grown to love writing and working with the people in Gamut. An avid collector of trinkets, she can be found gambling her money away on blind boxes; she is also a hardcore Snoopy lover and keeper of all My Little Pony lore. In her free time, she can be found doom scrolling or stalking Reddit, and though she finds Elon Musk heavily embarrassing, Jasmine has been guilty several times over for being a loyal Twitter user. Before her time at Oxford comes to an end, she hopes to be employed, attend all senior events, and check off going to Chili’s and eating the Triple Dipper on the senior bucket list she made with her friends.

Chris Phan, Art Editor
Senior Chris Phan lives a double life—the artist of a viral Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint fan art and The Gamut’s very own art editor. As a professional whitewashed Asian, he’s lived in California his whole life and rarely travels. However, he wants to visit New York in the future for his superhero inspiration, Spiderman. He really enjoys the Spider-Verse movie series, where he formerly received much of his art inspiration. Recently, he’s been filling up his sketchbook with drawings of T.O.P. from the hit K-Pop group BigBang. Aside from art, he enjoys lab work, stickers, and “noisy” music such as Charli XCX’s “Guess.” He hopes to live comfortably in SoCal in the future and keep art as a hobby. Claim your ticket as an OG fan before Chris becomes another viral art sensation!
