Vaishnavi Gurunandan, Staff Artist

Sophomore Vaishnavi Gurundan is embarking on her first year as an artist for The Gamut. As an aesthete, she joins the Gamut in search to view the world from a journalistic lens and to practice her craft in a more meaningful way. Drawing on her experiences of competing in art competitions as a child, Vaishnavi is looking forward to participating in journalism competitions along with the opportunity to draw about hard-hitting social justice and awareness issues, while building a meaningful community through The Gamut. She describes herself as a friendly person who likes to network and is creative; which she manifests outside of school as a competitive dancer and singer. Driven from her Hindu background, her goal is to always devote herself and put her whole mind and soul into everything she does– something she’s excited to do for the Gamut.
