From Toast Yays to Thin Mints, Girl Scout cookie season is back in full swing. With a plethora of sweet treats on the cookie menu, it’s hard choosing which box to spend those precious six dollars on. So, here’s a ranking of the top five Girl Scout cookies to make that decision easier:

  1. Adventurefuls

A recent addition to the Girl Scout’s extensive catalog since last year, this brownie-inspired cookie features salted caramel creme and milk chocolate. Reminiscent of over baked brownies, this crispy treat is a crunchy, fun snack. However, the cookie’s cocoa flavor is too subtle, paling in comparison to a rich brownie.

  1. Caramel deLites

This popular cookie is famous for a reason! Gooey, chewy caramel with drizzled milk chocolate compliment the crunchy toasted coconut and crispy cookie wafer. Samoas (sold in LA troops) are a step up from Orange County’s Caramel deLites, as they feature bittersweet dark chocolate that better suits the sugary coconut. Though the saccharine flavor can be overpowering to others. sweet-toothed coconut fans will love Caramel deLites.

  1. Peanut Butter Sandwiches

A rich peanut butter center sandwiched by two crunchy oatmeal cookies — Peanut Butter Sandwiches, also known as Do-Si-Dos, are an underrated delight. Although simple, there’s a pleasant balance between the crunchy cookie and smooth peanut butter, creating the perfect balance of nutty and buttery. Dipping this delicious cookie in warm milk further elevates creamy, toasty flavors, making it a homely comfort food.

  1. Thin Mints

Making up 25 percent of all Girl Scout cookie sales, Thin Mints are undoubtedly the face of Girl Scout cookie season. The wafer itself is the ideal balance between rich chocolate and cool mint, with each bite having the most satisfying crunch. It’s hard to refrain from eating an entire box of these light, addictive cookies at once.

  1. Peanut Butter Patty

Peanut Butter Patties (also known as Tagalongs) top at first, being the perfect, delectable dessert. The intricate layers create a heavenly experience: a crunchy vanilla base, creamy peanut butter, and a fudge coating to tie everything together. Whereas Thin Mints are more similar to a wafer, Peanut Butter Patties take the crown by being a flawless cookie, mixing rich flavors with fluffy and crunchy textures to create a chocolate peanut butter perfection.

Whether you try something new or opt for the classics, buying Girl Scout cookies supports your neighborhood Girl Scout troops, and every cookie is baked with love by regional bakeries. Grab a glass of milk and enjoy the taste of nostalgia this cookie season!
