The Gamut

Jasmine Nguyen

Jasmine Nguyen, Staff Writer

Professional brainrotter, normal, yellow bald man emoji: all very true descriptors for second-year writer Jasmine Nguyen. Having applied for the Gamut as the result of losing a bet, gambling runs deep in Jasmine’s blood, evident by her previous Genshin Impact addiction she’s “recovered from.” But, don’t fret! She’s here to stay — at least if not for the writing, then the juicy, kinda-not-really-journalistic gossip and conversations. A victim to doomscrolling and the diabolical 4-6 p.m. afterschool nap, Jasmine shamefully admits to being allergic to “locking in.” However, she is always consistent with her daily Connections and Mini Crossword (never Wordle, by the way), and you can always count on her to be playing 2048 and the Suika watermelon game during class. When Jasmine isn’t intellectmaxxing via YouTube video essays or making dioramas, you can find her café hopping with friends (she highly recommends Ced in Garden Grove despite their atrocious prices) or woefully regretting her 8 classes junior year. And if you happen to spot her during Comp Sci (#womeninstem), take a look at her screen and make sure she’s not on Twitter… she deleted the app off her phone but still seriously needs rehabilitation.
