Vanessa Marin-Ixlan, Senior Staff Artist

A senior and staff artist, Vanessa Marin first joined Gamut because her friend introduced her; now, she’s on her 2nd year in Gamut. An avid churchgoer, Vanessa believes that church really positively influenced and helped her life. When she was a kid, she wanted to be a biologist because she liked to work with animals (that was until she found out about all the math she’d have to do). Before she dies, Vanessa would like to go to central America and to a concert. She loves drawings, reading comics, and watching films. She is especially a huge fan of Nobuhiko Obayashi, a Japanese movie director. She is very passionate about Captain Marvel, and would recommend everyone to read Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima, an author who she really loves. She would very much like to be sponsored by Bimbo because she loves pinguinos.
