Nandita Bussa

Nandita Bussa, News Editor

Though junior Nandita Bussa is Oxford Academy’s friendly neighborhood Spiderman in this universe only, she’s The Gamut’s favorite News Editor in every one. Having been an avid reader, writer, and top fan of The Gamut (she’s been collecting issues since middle school), Nandita is heavily looking forward to serving as an editor on Gamut staff for the upcoming year and giving back to the organization that has enabled her to make countless memories, including post-competition Old Spaghetti Factory lunches with the staff and hosting GamSlam, The Gamut’s annual poetry slam contest, and immensely grow as a writer for her past two years on staff. Besides her responsibilities as both Spiderman and a journalist, Nandita also serves as president of OA’s Law and Politics Club, under which she aspires to found Oxford’s first mock trial team, and is part of AASHA (South Asian Cultural Club). In her free time, Nandita loves to eat Chipotle, take naps, read fantasy books, build intricate LEGO sets, or, best yet, snap photos on the Kodak PixPro camera she received for her 16th birthday! Nandita describes herself as an easygoing, energetic, and talkative person, both inside and outside of school– so feel free to strike up a conversation with her! That is, if she’s not jamming out to her favorite pop and Bollywood music, or re-watching Into the Spider-Verse for the 101st time. The public may flame her for her shameless “odd phases” with K-Pop and Haikyuu – as proudly displayed in the back of her phone case – but Nah, Nandita does her own thing.
