About the Contributors
Jasmine Nguyen, Podcast Producer
Jasmine Nguyen is in her third and last year as a Gamut staff writer. Since joining in her sophomore year, she has grown to love writing and working with the people in Gamut. An avid collector of trinkets, she can be found gambling her money away on blind boxes; she is also a hardcore Snoopy lover and keeper of all My Little Pony lore. In her free time, she can be found doom scrolling or stalking Reddit, and though she finds Elon Musk heavily embarrassing, Jasmine has been guilty several times over for being a loyal Twitter user. Before her time at Oxford comes to an end, she hopes to be employed, attend all senior events, and check off going to Chili’s and eating the Triple Dipper on the senior bucket list she made with her friends.
Justin Le, Editor in Chief
Meet senior Justin Le: hot fries enthusiast, secretly parasocial LDShadowlady fan, and this year’s Editor in Chief of The Gamut! A loyal member of the “gamily” since freshman year, Justin has previously served as the Op-Ed editor, helping writers strengthen their opinions – a skill honed through hours of scrolling through Twitter controversies. Opinions aren’t the only thing he consumes, though; Justin is an avid Beli enthusiast, having written over 200 reviews on the restaurant rating app since he downloaded it three months ago. When he isn’t out trying new food, you might find him organizing the annual International Rally (a job he has taken on since freshman year), binging Friends, or reminiscing about his internship at Disneyland (his self described third place). For his final year at Oxford, Justin plans on enjoying senior year, avoiding senioritis, and following his own advice – “to live in the present.”
