Working around the clock to plan class bonding events, school dances, and spirit week poster walls, Class Committee (CC) members dedicate themselves to building their grade’s community. For the Senior Class Committee (SRCC), each planned event carries nostalgia — a countdown until the very last senior event: graduation. This month, read about four SRCC members’ experiences!
Daniel Georges, President — What has been your favorite CC memory?
“I think my favorite memory in CC was definitely coming back from buying Chick-fil-A for Senior Movie Night. When I was driving through the parking lot, I was rushing, so I actually went the wrong way. Then, when I was getting to the entrance of the school, I saw everyone there waiting for me so I could deliver it. I kind of just stopped fast, and it was really exhilarating.”
Vihan Revagad, Vice President — Why did you decide to join SRCC?
“I was in CC for two years, but I decided to run for vice president after volunteering at one of the senior events last year and seeing how everyone was able to bond together. I kind of decided that I wanted to help be someone [who] could create that.”
Maily Tran, Activities Commissioner — What traditions do you hope for next year’s CC to continue?
“I volunteered at Senior Movie Night last year. I tried playing [the class of 2025] senior Kahoot. I had no idea what half the questions were about. Making [our] Kahoot questions, I realized that we’ve been together for six years and just recalling those class moments is really special.”
Haley Nguyen, Technology Commissioner — What has been your favorite CC memory?
“I think one quirk I think about a lot is that at Senior Sunrise and for Movie Night, we [had] our publicist being the neighborhood Celsius sharer, [which] I think is fun about our committee.”
Seniors, don’t miss out on the next SRCC event — before you know it, graduation will be here and your high school journeys will be over. Non-seniors, make sure to attend every CC event and appreciate the hard work put into planning every detail.
